Old School Manga returns big screen style!
Speed Racer is coming at you, as fast as the Mark 5 can bring it on! Yes, way back when televisions were meant to be consoles, Speed Racer was the daily fare for kids across the country. Every day at around 4PM, from coast to coast, Monday Thru Friday, the afternoon entertainment was Speed Racer.
The real star, the high flying Mark 5 could jump, saw and evens dive under water to avoid the bad guys! Speed had the hottest girl on the show. Actually I think he had the only girl on the show, Trixie. Better yet, she could fly. Then there was that pesky little brother, the often found in the trunk Spritle with his best bud, Chim-Chim.

Even better for us old guys that watched Manga before it was called Manga, Speed Racer is coming to a big screen near you on May 9th! Of course the graphics are "this century", the music has thump but some things don't seem to have changed at all. For example in the trailers, the roads are still as wacked out as ever.
