Taiyo Masumoto

March means a change to spring and when one stuffs the words "Spring" and Manga into Google, you get Blue Spring, Volume 1 a Manga book by Taiyo Matsumoto The reviews on this book are all over the place. It is a series of short stories that can challenge you emotionally. Take a bunch of short stories on disenchanted teenagers, (no way) and you get the jist of this book. Any nihilists out there? Nihilism you say, we don't need no stinking.., Uh, I digress from being.. or os that not being.

Mashi Tanaka

Small dinosaurs with big attitudes means it is time to get in touch with Masashi Tanaka's "Gon". This is absolutely fun. An all ages romp of a "silent" read, meaning it is all about the art when it comes to this series. This is a must have comic if you like eye candy. Imagine, just art, no words to pollute the story line. Novel concept isn't it?

Vaun Wilmott

On a different, less dark, but sort of creepy note, The Outcast by Vaun Wilmott with art by Edward Gan comes a recommendation from Samuel L. Jackson. How the hell Samuel L. Jackson has time to read Manga, I don't know, but since I like the guy, I figure I'll help him help Vaun sell a few books. Overall reviews on this book drift more to the "good read" side of the street!
